Royal Summer School
The summer camp at King Charles's alma mater offers diverse learning and adventure experiences for students aged 8-16, including English language learning, creative arts, sports activities, and outdoor adventures. Through international citizenship courses, natural world exploration, social enterprise, and entrepreneurship programs, students develop leadership skills, teamwork abilities, and innovative thinking. Additionally, the school's unique sailing and outdoor activities allow students to challenge themselves, build confidence, and enjoy Scotland's beautiful natural scenery.
Course Selection
Fast Track to English Proficiency
This course is tailored for students aged 8-16, helping them excel in all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners, can find suitable programs. Advanced students will have the opportunity to explore original literature, discuss trending topics, and learn how to confidently express their viewpoints.
Ignite Your Creativity Through Words
This course is designed for native English speakers or students with advanced English proficiency, aged 8-16. Through in-depth analysis of poetry, prose, novels, and drama, you'll enhance your literary appreciation skills. We also conduct creative writing workshops, teaching you how to craft engaging openings, vivid imagery, and build tension and suspense across different literary forms.
Explore Infinite Possibilities in Technology
This course introduces students aged 8-16 to computer programming, hardware assembly, and network security. Whether you're interested in computers, gaming, or programming, or have no prior experience, you're welcome to join. Advanced students will even have the opportunity to design and build their own video games using Unity software!
Featured Courses
Global Citizenship
For students aged 13-16 with advanced English proficiency. Improve oral skills through debate and public speaking, develop dialogue techniques to promote understanding and empathy. Explore key global issues such as world religions, political ideologies, social media, fake news, and environmental challenges.
Natural World
Suitable for students aged 8-12 with good English proficiency. Learn to appreciate the biodiversity of the natural world and understand the value of natural environments for global health, society, and economy. Most classes are conducted outdoors, making full use of the school's 200 acres of woodland and the nearby Moray Bay beaches, cliffs, and tide pools.
Social Enterprise & Entrepreneurship
Available for students aged 13-16 with advanced English proficiency. Students work in groups to learn about business operations and entrepreneurship, participating in workshops on identifying business opportunities, developing business plans, seeking funding, and showcasing creativity. At the end of the course, students will plan and present an event that promotes and benefits their chosen social cause.

The campus has an exceptional sports center featuring a climbing wall, all-weather artificial turf, indoor heated swimming pool, 4 squash courts, 12 tennis courts, and a 400-meter track.

Offering a wide range of sports and team games including badminton, basketball, football, hockey, volleyball, tennis, squash, swimming, and athletics.

Personal Development
Focus on developing students' personal fitness and skills, helping them discover themselves through sports and build confidence.
Creative Arts
Arts and Crafts
Students have a vibrant and creative environment where they can explore a wide array of artistic endeavors. They can design unique T-shirts that showcase their personal style and artistic flair.
Design and Technology
Learn processing techniques for materials such as wood, leather, glass, metal, and enamel in the school's workshop. Students can create items like candleholders, decorative clocks, and mobile devices.
Music Creation
All students participate in collaboration to prepare for the end-of-course concert. Beginners can learn instruments, while musically gifted students have opportunities to showcase their talents.
Recreation & Social Time

Excursions
Options include: visiting historical sites and museums in Elgin; enjoying scenic views along Loch Ness; exploring Inverness Castle by the River Ness; and visiting Cawdor Castle and Brodie Castle.

Entertainment Activities
Available activities include shooting, horseback riding, golf, cooking, bowling, go-karting, ice skating, movie watching, and shopping.

Social Time
Students have free time for socializing and creative entertainment during evenings, between activities, and during elective periods. Dances and social events are also organized. Outdoor facilities such as football fields, volleyball courts, and tennis courts are open all day.

Outdoor Adventures
Students will participate in a range of adventure activities, which may include canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, coastal exploration, stream walking, gorge exploration, and mountain biking.

Sailing Experience
Students will embark on a three-day sailing journey along Scotland's beautiful coastline. Depending on their age and experience, students will be fully involved in all activities.

Team Building
Young people develop teamwork and leadership skills through specific activities such as obstacle courses, low ropes courses, and creative challenges. These life skills are also developed through integrated activities like sailing and group performances.
